Legal

Terms of Use

Plain rules for a service that deals with your health.

What ClinicYangu is

A platform that helps you organise a health concern, offers limited non-diagnostic guidance, and connects you with qualified, verified clinicians for consultation.

What ClinicYangu is not

It is not a doctor. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe on its own, does not make independent clinical decisions, and does not replace emergency services. Clinical decisions are made by the qualified clinician you consult.

Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate information, be old enough to consent to care under Kenyan law or be supported by a guardian, and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Clinician obligations

Clinicians must hold a valid licence, pass our verification, keep their credentials current, and practise within their scope and the standards of their regulator. A clinician who has not been approved cannot consult.

Payments

Prices are published on the Pricing page and are set centrally. Payment functionality, including M-Pesa, will be enabled in a later phase; no payment is processed today.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the platform, impersonate a clinician, attempt to access records that are not yours, or use the service for emergencies.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, ClinicYangu is not liable for outcomes arising from a clinician's professional judgement or from a failure to seek emergency care when warning signs are present.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app, and continued use means acceptance.

These terms are pending review by qualified Kenyan legal professionals before production launch.
